Dear Blenheim,
Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
My name is Kent Babbey, and I am the new pastor of Blenheim Baptist Church. I am delighted to be here, shepherding the congregation and serving this beautiful community. I was born and raised in Wallaceburg, so this area is home to me.
My wife Katie and I are blessed to be following in the footsteps of Pastor Bill and Olwen Terris, who have faithfully led and loved our church family for 30 years.
I look forward to working with my fellow pastors of the Ministerial, and I appreciate The Blenheim News Tribune for helping us to share our “View from the Pulpit” each week.
On Sundays when I look out from the pulpit I see people who are loved by God, and when I drive around Blenheim I see a town that is loved by God. My prayer for everyone who reads this is that you may know how much God loves you.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“The world” includes you. No matter what you have done in your life, God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. He sent Jesus to die on the Cross for your sin and mine. Jesus rose again and lives to forgive everyone who repents of their sin and accepts Him as their Lord and Saviour.
This is God’s Good News for the world, for Blenheim, and for you.
