Do you wish that you could rewind your life and start over? You cannot change the past, but Jesus can change your future. He will give you a fresh start today when you invite Him into your life. Here are three things you will receive as part of your new life:
1. A NEW PURPOSE. I feel bad for people who don’t believe in God, because life has little meaning if we all got here by chance. In a world of more than seven billion people we can feel small and insignificant. But when we know that the Creator of the universe wants us here, it makes life worth living, because now we are living for Him.
2. A NEW POSITION. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) To be “in Christ” means that we are identified with Jesus and are part of God’s Family.
3. A NEW PERSPECTIVE. As Christians, our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20) and our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glorious life that awaits us there (Romans 8:18). The hope of Heaven helps us through the tough times on earth.
No matter what you have done in your life, you can begin again. God loves you! He sent His Son Jesus to be your Saviour. Give Him your broken life, and He will replace it with a new one. What a perfect way to begin the new year. You CAN start over!
